Grier Raclin

Grier Raclin joined Charter Communications as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in October, 2005. At Charter, Grier not only oversees the Company's legal and regulatory affairs, but also its Federal and State Governmental Affairs/Lobbying efforts, as well as its Business Development, Program Acquisition, Facilities, and Procurement/Supply Chain departments.

Grier has almost 30 years experience leading and representing telecommunications and technology companies. Prior to joining Charter, Grier was Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of SAVVIS, Inc., the international IP networking and hosting services provider; and prior to that was EVP, CAO and GC of Global TeleSystems, Inc., a billion-dollar, London-based provider of voice and data communications services in Europe, the CIS and Asia. Previously, Grier was Vice-Chairman and Managing Partner of Gardner, Carton & Douglas, a leading corporate securities law firm in Chicago, Illinois and Washington, D.C., where he represented a number of large and diverse telecommunications companies and suppliers, as well as foreign governments undertaking telecommunications privatizations.

Grier earned his law degree from Northwestern University Law School in Chicago, Illinois, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Northwestern University Law Review. He attended business school at the University of Chicago Executive Program; and earned his BA degree in philosophy cum laude from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he also was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Grier is and has been a member of various public and privately-held corporate, charitable and school boards, currently including the Contemporary Museum of Art in St. Louis and the Northwestern University Law School Fund Board. Grier also has published numerous articles and editorial pieces in various periodicals and journals, including The Wall Street Journal, the Northwestern University Law Review, the Northwestern University Journal of International Law and Business, and monographs published by The National Law Center for Public Interest. Grier also has provided commentary on various television and radio network programs.

Grier and his wife Linda and their children live in St. Louis Missouri where Linda is a Professor at St. Louis University Law School.
