J. Brendan Herron Jr.

Mr. Herron has served as the Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy for CURRENT since March 2006, after having worked as a consultant for the company since October 2005. Mr. Herron works with the CEO, Tom Casey, and the management team to develop the overall corporate strategy and to capitalize on growth opportunities, including having completed two acquisitions since joining CURRENT.

Previously, Mr. Herron worked for Hannon Armstrong & Company, a privately held Merchant Bank, as an officer and director of many of its private equity investments, primarily in telecommunications infrastructure and enterprise software. Prior to Hannon Armstrong, he was a Vice President at Aggregate Industries Plc, a multinational building materials company with responsibility for U. S. merger and acquisition activity, joint ventures and corporate strategy as the U.S. business grew from $30 million to $250 million in three years while establishing the foundation for what became a $1.4 billion business. He also worked for Ernst & Young in a corporate strategic consulting group.

In his career, Mr. Herron has completed over 30 M&A transactions as well as numerous joint ventures and corporate financings. Mr. Herron received a bachelor's degree in accounting and computer science and an MBA in finance from Loyola College of Maryland as well as the CPA and CMA certifications.
