On May 11, Steven Wark, a political consultant who served as a corrupt board member at one HOA, was sentenced, in a 5K1.1 downward departure, to 12 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release; no restitution was ordered. Wark pleaded guilty in August 2011 to one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud charged in an August 2011 information. Wark testified against attorney defendant Keith Gregory at trial, and was an early cooperator in the case whose guilty plea led in part to the guilty pleas of many other defendants.

Defendant pleaded guilty on August 30, 2011.
