ABSTRACT: The Office of the Deputy Attorney General Correspondence Tracking System (DAGCOR) is an automated information system which provides information on correspondence pending and closed in the Deputy's office. The system contains a description of the correspondence, assignment, status and final action.

PURPOSE: The system was created and is maintained to track correspondence currently or formerly in the Deputy's office. It allows ODAG personnel to locate correspondence, identify assigned staff and status, and to update records.

ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: DAGCOR is only available to ODAG personnel and is protected through password access.

USE CONSTRAINTS: Users of DAGCOR are restricted to only those privileges necessary to perform assigned tasks.

AGENCY PROGRAM: The DAG advises and assists the AG in formulating and implementing Department policies and programs, and in providing overall supervision and direction to all Department organizations. All correspondence for action or signature by the AG comes through the DAG for review and clearance. DAGCOR enables the Deputy's office to handle the high volume of correspondence efficiently and consistently.

SOURCES OF DATA: The primary source of information contained in DAGCOR are the controlled items of correspondence from the components through the Executive Secretariat to the Deputy's office..
