DEA New Jersey Division Hosts
Pharmaceutical Briefing
"Medicine for Success"

MAR 3 -- (NEWARK, NJ) Gerard P. McAleer, Special Agent in Charge (SAC), of the Drug Enforcement Administration New Jersey Division announced today that the DEA New Jersey Division hosted the “Medicine for Success” briefing for the New Jersey’s pharmaceutical industry which includes companies registered with DEA to manufacture and distribute pharmaceutical controlled substances. The briefing was conducted in order for the pharmaceutical industry and DEA to reinforce their working relationships, and to collaborate an effort to combat pharmaceutical diversion within New Jersey.

The briefing, held at the DEA New Jersey Division Headquarters, gave the pharmaceutical industry an inside look at how the DEA New Jersey Division operates. In his remarks, SAC McAleer stated, “The goal of today’s meeting was to insure the industry has at its disposal, the latest information regarding the diversion of pharmaceutical controlled substances.
