ABSTRACT: The Work Hour Reporting System (WRS) consists of a compliant database of all DEA Special Agents, Diversion Investigators, and Intelligence Analysts currently assigned and is sequenced by social security number, name, and location of assignment.

PURPOSE: The DEA utilizes the WRS to monitor work hours expended in support of investigative and related activities at Headquarters and in the Field Offices. Information is used by managers to enhance overall efficiency and monitor trends in investigative activity.

ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: All records in WRS are protected from unauthorized access through appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. These safeguards include restricting access to the database and password protection.

USE CONSTRAINTS: Use of WRS is restricted to those authorized personnel required perform assigned tasks.

AGENCY PROGRAM: The DEA is the principal federal drug investigative arm of the Department of Justice. It is charged with gathering and reporting facts, making arrests, and compiling evidence in criminal and civil matters involving the illicit use of drugs.

SOURCE OF DATA: Data contained in the WRS is a result of biweekly activity reports (DEA Forms 352, 351 and 421) that are filled out by each Special Agent, Diversion Investigator and Intelligence Analyst.
