El Paso Area Red Ribbon Events

October 6th
This year the 5th Annul Bi-National Red Ribbon Rallyhas been incorporated with the 2007 Border Bi-National Health Week . What is unique about this Red Ribbon Rally is that it includes participation from people from two countries: U.S.A and Mexico, three cities: El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and three states: the State of Texas, State of New Mexico, and the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. Mayors from 11 border cities who have pledged in the past to work together to reduce substance abuse and violence in their communities have been invited to attend. The event kicks off with a parade from Sunland Park City Hall to the Western Playland parking lot at 11:00 a.m. for food, drinks, live music, radio remotes, a balloon launch, health screenings and appearances by mayors from Texas , New Mexico , and Mexico .

October 26th
FBI and DEA will be hosting a Halloween haunted house for families of the Dept. of Justice. Red ribbons will be placed in the candy handed out.

October 28th
El Paso Office employees will be participating in the 4th Annual "Red Ribbon Battle of Trans Mountain", bicycle race/run/walk. This event is being sponsored by the El Paso Police Department.
