Capital District Sports and DEA Albany will promote the Red Ribbon Campaign during an Albany River Rats professional hockey game.
Albany Federal Building will be illuminated in red from October 22 through October 26, 2007.
The Albany DO will present a red ribbon presentation to the Warrensburg Central School – 6th Grade Red Ribbon Program presentation.
Buffalo:
October 22nd
Niagara Falls will be illuminated in red on Monday, October 22, 2007 (7-7:15 PM; 8-8:15 PM; 9-9:15 PM; 10-10:15 PM; and, 11-11:15 PM)
The Electric Tower in Buffalo, NY will be illuminated in red from October 22 through October 26, 2007.
Red Ribbon messages to be posted at Buffalo Airport LED welcome boards.
The Pilot Baseball Stadium outdoor electronic message board will read a Red Ribbon message.
The Buffalo RO will present a red ribbon presentation to the South Town Catholic School (2nd Grade).
The Buffalo RO will present a red ribbon presentation to Casey Middle School.
Manhattan:
The Con Edison Building will be illuminated in red.
The NYFD will present a red ribbon presentation to Intermediate School 190 School in the Bronx.
The NYFD will present a red ribbon presentation to Middle School 202 in Queens.
The NYFD will present a red ribbon presentation to Intermediate School 2 in Staten Island.
The NYFD will present a red ribbon presentation to the McCauley School in Brooklyn.
October 28, 2007
The New York Jets will broadcast a 30 second Red Ribbon message at the NY Jets vs. the NY Buffalo Bills professional football game.
Plattsburgh
October 20th
The DEA and the Fraternal Order of Police will host a Drug Prevention Table during Safe Kids Identification Day in Plattsburgh, NY.
October 22nd – 26th
DEA will give presentations with NYARNG to all 5th Grade classes in Plattsburgh and present each school in the City with an entrance door mat declaring the school a “Drug Free Zone”.
DEA will have an information table at the Plattsburgh YMCA and will be conducting drug prevention programs for YMCA “Y-WeeCare” Preschool classes.
October 23rd
DEA to host Red Ribbon Week Story Time at the Plattsburgh Public Library between 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
October 26th
DEA will participate in Plattsburgh Safe Streets Program at the Crete Center Plattsburgh, NY between 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Rochester:
The KBK Federal Building, Rochester, NY will be illuminated in red to honor Red Ribbon week.
The Rochester RO will present a red ribbon presentation to the Fairport, NY Brooks Hill Fairport Elementary School.
The Rochester RO will present a red ribbon presentation to the New York BOCES High School.
The Rochester RO will present a red ribbon presentation to Merton Williams Middle School in Hilton, NY.
DEA and the Metro Council for Teen Potential will donate two indoor display cases to be to display Anti- drug/alcohol posters prepared by kids throughout the year. (To be maintained for 10 years by local billboard advertising company).
DEA will donate “Drug Free Zone” mats at the North East recreation center in Rochester.
Syracuse:
The Syracuse RO will present a Drug Awareness / Red Ribbon Program presentation at Broome County Community College.
The Syracuse Onondaga Drug and Alcohol Commission will kick-off Red Ribbon week at the Syracuse Federal Building. This multi-agency effort will consist of some speakers and handing out red ribbons. The Syracuse City School District has been invited to participate.
