St. Louis Area Red Ribbon Events

September 21th, 28th and October 5th
The NCADA Eastern MO Region Coalition, assisted by DEA, will conduct Red Ribbon Rallies in St. Charles (September 21, 2007), Jefferson (September 28, 2007), and St. Louis Counties (October 5, 2007).Each rally will reach approximately 200 middle school kids and adults. DEA and coalition members with be teaching strategies and providing training that they can take back to their schools to initiate activities during Red Ribbon week. . The NCADA will be circulating 2,000 Red Ribbons throughout the participating school districts.

The St. Louis Division will be distributing nearly 45,000 Red Ribbons to elementary schools in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa and Southern Illinois who are conducting activities during Red Ribbon week.

October 7th
 On Sunday, October 7th, special agents from the St. Louis Field Division will be participating in a Crime Prevention and Safety Fair in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Agents will be distributing ribbons and literature promoting Red Ribbon Week to attendees from the surrounding St. Louis Metropolitan area.

October 24th
Members of the St. Louis Field Division will be participating in a Red Ribbon Poster Competition sponsored by the St. Clair County Regional Superintendent of Schools Office in Belleville, Illinois. Nearly 1,200 students from elementary schools in Mascoutah, East St. Louis, O'Fallon, Millstadt, and Belleville North will participate in a Red Ribbon Rally held in the gym at the Belleville, Illinois, Southwestern Illinois College. Trophies, prizes, and dinner tickets will be awarded to approximately 30 students.

DEA employees and family members will be participating in several Red Ribbon Week activities at various elementary and middle schools throughout the St. Louis Division.
