Six Members of Mexican Drug Trafficking Group in Federal Custody in Charlotte JUN 23 -- CHARLOTTE, NC - Members of an alleged drug trafficking group who were arrested on a federal criminal complaint last week, came before a federal magistrate judge in Charlotte this morning for detention hearings. Four (all of whom are illegal aliens) were ordered this morning to be held in custody pre-trial. According to official court documents, five individuals were arrested in Charlotte on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, and two individuals were arrested at the scene of a traffic stop in Winnsboro, South Carolina, all as a result of an ongoing investigation led by the U.S. Drug Enforcement administration (DEA). Today’s announcement is made by Edward R. Ryan, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, and Rodney G.
