Hartford Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Involvement in Narcotics Trafficking Ring

JUL 01 -- Steven W. Derr, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and Nora R. Dannehy, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that LUIS RAMOS, also known as “Carlos” and “Papi,” 41, last residing on Barbour Street in Hartford, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Christopher F. Droney in Hartford to 120 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release.  On March 25, 2008, RAMOS pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base (“crack cocaine”). >> Full Story
