DEA Salt Lake City Narcotics Task Force Arrests Four Suspects, Seizes 2.9 Pounds Of Cocaine, 2.6 Pounds of Methamphetamine, and Two Vehicles In Taylorsville, Utah

NOV 29 -- The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Salt Lake City Narcotics Task Force made four arrests, seized 2.9 pounds of cocaine, 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine, and seized two vehicles as a result of an undercover operation into a drug trafficking organization late Tuesday, November 28th. The investigation into the drug trafficking organization began approximately nine months ago when agents were able to infiltrate the organization utilizing an undercover Task Force Officer posing as a mid-level drug trafficker. Tuesday’s arrests took place after an undercover task force officer purchased a quarter pound of methamphetamine from the traffickers at a location in Taylorsville. Agents then served a search warrant at a nearby apartment complex resulting in the additional seizures of cocaine and methamphetamine. Two vehicles utilized by the suspected traffickers were also seized and are pending forfeiture. Federal Charges for distribution of a controlled substance are being screened with the U.S. Attorney’s Office on the suspects. The suspects are believed to be responsible for supplying distributors up and down the Salt Lake City Valley.
