Owensboro Man Indicted for Crack and Cocaine Distribution

JAN 8 -- OWENSBORO, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment against Andre Green, age 25, of 1543 East 18th Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, in Daviess County, on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and cocaine, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that on or about September 21, 2006, in Daviess County, Kentucky, Green knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing cocaine, and 50 grams or more of crack cocaine, worth at least $5,000 on the street.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are life imprisonment, a $5,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of at least five years.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel P. Kinnicutt, and it was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Owensboro Police Department, Street Crimes Unit.

Green is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on January 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., in Owensboro, Kentucky.
