Two Louisville Drug Dealers Sentenced in
Crack Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy

FEB 20 --LOUISVILLE, KY - Donald E. Bell, Jr., age 25, of 4206 Winrose Way, Louisville, Kentucky, in Jefferson County, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, and Gregory Pecora, age 42, of 5509 Minyard Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, in Jefferson County, was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months imprisonment in United States District Court, Louisville, Kentucky, for conspiring to distribute and for distributing cocaine base, otherwise known as “crack” cocaine, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today. Jennifer B. Coffman, Judge, United States District Court, also sentenced Bell and Pecora to 4 years supervised release following incarceration. There is no parole in the federal judicial system.

In his plea, Bell admitted that on July 26, 2006, he knowingly possessed with the intent to distribute approximately 20.8 grams of crack cocaine, and that on that same date, he also conspired with Gregory Pecora to possess with the intent to distribute the 20.8 grams of crack cocaine.

In his plea, Pecora admitted that on July 5, 2006, he sold 13.5 grams of crack cocaine to an informant in Jefferson County, Kentucky for $600.00. Pecora also admitted that On July 26, 2006, he conspired with Donald E. Bell, Jr. to possess with the intent to distribute 20.8 grams of crack cocaine, and that he sold the 20.8 grams of crack cocaine to an informant for $900.00.

The street value of the crack cocaine involved in the case is $1500.00.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas W. Dyke, and it was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
