Bowling Green "Crack" Dealer Sentenced On Drug Charges And Felon Possessing A Rifle
- Drugs worth approximately $7,500
- Three time felon

NOV 8 --(Bowling Green, KY) - Aaron Jackson, age 31, of 901 Jackson Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky, in Warren County, was sentenced on November 7, 2007, to 20 years imprisonment in United States District Court, Bowling Green, Kentucky, for drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today. Thomas B. Russell, Judge, United States District Court, also sentenced Jackson to 10 years supervised release following incarceration. There is no parole in the federal judicial system.

Jackson had pled guilty on December 7, 2006, to having sold crack cocaine to an undercover detective on February 15, 2006, February 24, 2006, and March 28, 2006. Cumulatively, the crack cocaine sold by Jackson weighed approximately 75 grams (2.5 ounces) and had a street value of $7,500. Later, on May 1, 2006, Jackson sold an undercover detective a Norinco SKS assault-style rifle although federal law prohibited Jackson from possessing any firearm due to his previous felony convictions. Jackson was previously convicted of three felonies in Davidson County, Tennessee: Aggravated Assault on October 10, 1996, Possession With Intent to Sell of Less Than .5 Grams of Cocaine on August 17, 2000, and Felony Drug Possession following Prior Convictions on September 12, 2001.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr., and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force.
