Two Men Indicted on Drug Charges

DEC 11 -- LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment on December 4, 2007, against Harley Hendrickson, age 29, of 2400 Lake Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky, in Jefferson County, and Reyes Ignacio, age 34, of Indianapolis, Indiana, on charges of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that from on or about November 29, 2007, and continuing to on or about November 30, 2007, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and elsewhere, Hendrickson and Ignacio conspired with each other and others to knowingly and intentionally possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, worth at least $5000 on the street.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are life imprisonment, an $8,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of no less than 10 years; and the minimum potential penalties are 10 years imprisonment, a $4,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of no less than 5 years. Ignacio is a Mexican citizen illegally in the United States and subject to deportation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel P. Kinnicutt, and it was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Both defendants are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on December 20, 2007, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.
