Release [print-friendly version] Three California Marijuana Distribution Centers Shut Down “DEA will continue to work with our counterparts in law enforcement to take the illicit profits, proceeds and marijuana generated by these drug trafficking organizations” stated DEA Special Agent in Charge Javier F. Peña The San Mateo warrants were the result of 9 month long investigation conducted by the DEA San Francisco Office and the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force (SMCNTF). Searches in relation to this investigation were conducted at three marijuana distribution centers located in San Mateo. As a result of today’s search, law enforcement seized fifty (50) pounds of processed marijuana, hash, marijuana laced edibles, and approximately $30,000.00 US Currency.
Following today’s enforcement operation property owners where the San Mateo marijuana distribution centers conducted business were notified about the illegal activity occurring on their premises. By this notice, the owners are made aware of the purpose for which the property is being used and that further violations may result in criminal prosecution, imprisonment, fines and forfeiture of assets. Today’s enforcement operation was conducted by the DEA with assistance from San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and the San Mateo Police Department. ### |
