Iowa Resident Sentenced To Five Years For Distributing Methamphetamine

FEB 14 -- (Des Moines, IA) - On February 12, 2008, Christopher Todd Perkins of Shenandoah, Iowa, was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine in western Iowa, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge James E. Gritzner also ordered Perkins to serve a four year term of supervised release following incarceration, and assessed him to pay $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.

Perkins entered a guilty plea to conspiring to distributing methamphetamine in western Iowa, between January 1, 2006, up to and including June, 2006 on October 24, 2007. Perkins is one of five people involved in the network that distributed methamphetamine received from a source in Omaha, Nebraska and brought it into western Iowa to sell.

The investigation was conducted by the Shenandoah Police Department, the Page County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Page County Attorney’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
