Des Moines Man Sentenced on Conspiracy Charge

APR 25 -- Des Moines, IA - On April 25, 2008, Joey Ray Edmund Moore-Rollen, age 22, was sentenced to a term of 66 months imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, “crack”, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge Ronald E. Longstaff also ordered Moore-Rollen to serve a five year term of supervised release following his imprisonment, and imposed an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.

On October 18, 2006, Moore-Rollen entered a plea of guilty to the conspiracy charge. At the time of his plea, Moore-Rollen stipulated that in September and October, 2005, he sold cocaine base, “crack” to an undercover officer in the Des Moines, Iowa metropolitan area. Codefendant Dwayne Fuller, 27 was sentenced in February, 2008, to ten years imprisonment.

This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. This case was investigated by the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Des Moines Police Department.
