
OFFICE OF PLANNING, ANALYSIS AND TECHNOLOGY (OPAT)
The Office of Planning, Analysis and Technology (OPAT) was established to help senior EOIR management develop and implement an agency strategic plan. This office is responsible for the agency's information technology, program evaluation, statistical analysis, and reporting activities in support of the mission-critical goals and objectives established by senior management. OPAT also oversees efforts to help the Director and component heads to encourage and draw upon staff input to agency plans
Amy F. Dale, Assistant Director
Amy F. Dale was appointed Assistant Director, Office of Planning, Analysis and Technology (OPAT), in October 2001, after serving as Deputy Assistant Director, OPAT, since July 2000. Before coming to EOIR, she served as Administrator (1998 until 2000), and Deputy Administrator (1994 to 1998), Community Corrections and Detention Division, Bureau of Prisons. Ms. Dale had a brief assignment as an overseas desk officer for the Immigration and Naturalization Service from March to September 1998. From 1987 to 1994, she was a program analyst, Immigration and Refugee Affairs, Community Relations Service, at the Department of Justice. In 1991, Ms. Dale received the Attorney General's Distinguished Service Award. She received her B.A. in 1978 from Middlebury College, and her M.A. in 1982 from Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies.
