
Courtroom Etiquette

- The consumption of food and drinks are not allowed in the reception area or Court proceedings. Operational cellular telephones and audible pagers and/or beepers are not permitted in Court.
- Minor children accompanying a parent(s) to the Court, the child(ren) must be chaperoned and supervised at all times. There are no amenities and/or accommodations for small children.
- Weapons, dangerous items, and controlled substances are prohibited in the Arlington Immigration Court. Accordingly, all individuals to the Arlington Immigration Court must pass through a Justice Protective Service security checkpoint (which includes a magnetometer) prior to gaining access to the Court.
- Proper attire is required for all Court Hearings. Following are examples of improper attire: T-shirts, shorts, sandals, men wearing hats in the court room, halter tops, etc.
