Law Enforcement National Data Exchange (N-DEx)
N-DEx will provide law enforcement agencies with a powerful new investigative tool to search, link, analyze, and share criminal justice information such as incident/case reports, incarceration data, and parole/probation data on a national basis to a degree never before possible.

President's Management Agenda
The President's Management Agenda is a bold strategy for improving the management and performance of the federal government. The Agenda contains five government-wide and nine agency-specific goals to improve federal management and deliver results that matter to the American people.

National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
NIEM, the National Information Exchange Model, is a partnership of the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. It is designed to develop, disseminate and support enterprise-wide information exchange standards and processes that can enable jurisdictions to effectively share critical information in emergency situations, as well as support the day-to-day operations of agencies throughout the nation.

Agency Scorecards
In order to ensure accountability for performance and results, the Administration is using an Executive Branch Management Scorecard. The Administration will use this scorecard to track how well departments and agencies are executing the management initiatives, and where they stand at a given point in time against the overall standards for success.

The scorecard employs a simple "traffic light" grading system common today in well-run businesses: green for success, yellow for mixed results, and red for unsatisfactory. Scores are based on five standards for success defined by the President's Management Council and discussed with experts throughout government and academe, including individual fellows from the National Academy of Public Administration.
