TomchekDirector, Human Resources SUBJECT: Staffing Processing Review During 1999, as part of the law enforcement/legal review, each component was asked to complete a time line using the attached format detailing the process and time it took to recruit core jobs. As part of the human capital initiative, each component is being asked to do this again for three positions: (1) your most populous core administrative or professional position; (2) your most critical support position (which can be clerical, technical, or administrative;) and (3) a position which would typify your merit promotion selection process. In addition to the information requested during 1999, each of you will be asked to document in a third column any improvements you have made since 1999, and the number of days which the recruitment processes has been shortened. (Component submissions made during 1999 are no longer available.) Please be as complete as possible when detailing your processes. The forms will be placed on the Personnel Staff web site so that they can be downloaded for your use. Any questions regarding these reports may be directed to Paul A.
