SUBJECT:      Interim Regulations Concerning the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act (VEOA) of 1998

By memorandum dated February 24, 2000, I provided you with information concerning the amendments to the VEOA of 1998.

Attached for your review and comment are Office of Personnel Management (OPM) interim regulations to implement the staffing provisions of the Act. These regulations are effective March 17, 2000, with comments due to OPM on or before April 17, 2000.
