As you proceed, remember that each DOJ Component has a specific Flexible Work Option Plan and Worklife Program. It is advisable to contact your Component Worklife Coordinator to get more information. Also, if you manage employees who are part of a bargaining unit or union, be sure to contact your labor relations staff and applicable collective bargaining agreement prior to offering any new worklife options. Many bargaining agreements already have negotiated provisions dealing with worklife programs and procedures that must be followed.
