September 16, 2008 -
Charles E. James was sentenced by United States
District Court Judge Harold D. Vietor to 12 months and a day in federal
prison after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender.
James was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release after his
imprisonment, and to pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.

January 18, 2008 - The Southern
Iowa Fugitive Task Force arrested Stephen Hershel Neff (36) this afternoon
in Des Moines’s south side. Neff was being sought on an arrest
warrant issued in Warren County in reference to a vehicle theft there.
Neff is the fourth Metro’s Most Wanted fugitive arrested by the Task Force
in ten days.

A violent fugitive task force led by U.S. Marshals arrested Shane Allen
Wessel late last night in Marshalltown, IA. Wessel, one of Metro’s Most
Wanted, was being sought on arrest warrants issued in Polk and Warren
counties for various charges including Conspiracy to Distribute
Methamphetamine, Carrying Concealed Weapons, Eluding, and Theft.

10, 2007 - U.S. Marshals
arrested Russell Eugene Blessman today in Heber
City, UT, approximately 40 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. Acting on a
tip from a cooperating source, U.S. Marshals from Salt Lake City traveled to
Heber City and located Blessman in a local motel room. Blessman, 51,
is charged with two counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse and one count of
contempt of court in reference to an alleged violation of a no contact
order.

July 20, 2007 - U.S. Marshals
have joined Polk County authorities in the search for a Polk City man
accused of sexually abusing a minor.
Russell Eugene Blessman, 51, is
charged with two counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse and one count of
contempt of court in reference to an alleged violation of a no contact
order. Arrest warrants were issued for Blessman in Polk County in June
2007.

February 8, 2007 -
U.S. Marshals, together with state and local law enforcement, arrested
Russell Lee Overlin in Miami, OK tonight, one week after bodies of his
father and step-mother were found at the bottom of a cistern outside the
couple's rural Polk county home.

02, 2007 - U.S. Marshals are offering a $2,500 reward for
information leading to the apprehension of Russell Lee Overlin, 52, of
Mitchellville. Overlin is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for
questioning in relation to the deaths of his father and step-mother, Gilbert
and Naomi Overlin.
