  May 09, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service is please to announce that Washington State fugitive, and Level III Sex Offender, David J. Torrence, self-surrendered earlier today in Camden, Arkansas. On April 23, 2008, convicted rapist and Level III Sex Offender David J. Torrence absconded from Washington State Department of Corrections supervision and became a fugitive. Torrence, a man with a history of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, decided that 3 days of supervision was enough and fled after being released from prison on April 20, 2008.
 
  May 08, 2008 - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), along with the Columbus Division of Police, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested Jermaine Riley.  Riley has been wanted since November 2007 for Possession with Intent to Distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine and for using a firearm in the commission of the offense. Riley was recently named as a suspect in the murder case of 9 year old Kiyana-Shae Meilke.
 
  May 07, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Francisco Hernandez-Almendares, 26, on a warrant issued in December of 2006 in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana charging him with aggravated rape of a child under 13 years old. Acting on a lead sent by the Eastern District of Louisiana U.S. Marshals Service Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF), Hernandez-Almendares was arrested in Baldwin County, Alabama after a traffic stop initiated by the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and local law enforcement.
 
  May 07, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - On May 6, 2008, investigators with the U.S. Marshal Service's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) apprehended Darick Randolph Jordan at a relative's house in College Park, Georgia. Jordan was wanted by the Douglas County, GA Sheriff's Office for four counts of burglary. Injured after crashing his fleeing vehicle, Jordan had been in Grady Memorial Hospital until he was released without notification to law enforcement.
 
  May 07, 2008 - On 05/06/2008 the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the Temple Police Department, Harker Heights Police Department, and the Killeen Police Department arrested 18-year old Damiee Kendrick Johnson at an apartment complex in Harker Heights. Johnson and 28-year old Rico Doyle are both accused of shooting 18-year old Tyrone Haskins this past September, then leaving him to die in the street.
 
  May 06, 2008 - On May 05, 2008, the Eastern District of Louisiana U.S. Marshals Service Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) arrested Darryl Dwight McQuillion (AKA: Gregory Galloway) at a local homeless shelter on Camp St. New Orleans, LA. McQuillion, 58, was wanted on a federal parole violations warrant by the U.S. Marshals Service for violating the conditions of his federal parole on 1985 and 1986 convictions for armed bank robbery in San Francisco, CA. He was also wanted by the Milwaukee, WI Police Department for an April 2008 warrant charging him with bank robbery.
 
  May 05, 2008  - A high level sex offender who had fled the state to avoid arrest was captured late Saturday morning in downtown Tucson, AZ by U.S. Marshals. Shane G. Vaudry, 32, was arrested on May 3, 2007 at the Greyhound bus station after returning to Arizona from North Carolina. Vaudry was wanted by the Benson Police Department for failing to update his sex offender registration and also had an outstanding Tucson Police Department warrant.
 
  May 05, 2008 - On 5/2/08, Robert Thomas Franks was arrested in New Orleans, Louisiana by investigators from the Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF). Franks was wanted by the Honolulu, Hawaii Police Department for invasion of privacy. Honolulu PD detectives say that Franks allegedly video recorded his stepdaughters with a camera hidden a bathroom of their residence on multiple occasions.
 
  May 02, 2008 - Phoenix, Ariz. – This afternoon members of the U.S. Marshals led Phoenix High Intensity Drug Task Force (HIDTA) Fugitive Task Force arrested an alleged child rapist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lance Kelly, 51, was wanted by the Albuquerque Police Department after it was alleged that he raped a 10 year old girl. Shortly after the issuance of an arrest warrant for Lance Kelly, Detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department and Deputy U.S. Marshals in Albuquerque conducted a joint fugitive investigation which developed information that Kelly was living in the Phoenix area. This morning the information was quickly relayed to the U.S. Marshals in Phoenix. After a brief surveillance Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers located Kelly in an apartment at 85th Ave and Peoria Ave, at which time Kelly was arrested. Kelly was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Albuquerque, NM.
 
  May 02, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by the Kingsland Police Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals South Florida Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in Florida City, Florida based on information generated by the Savannah Office of the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Amos Southall, 27, was being sought on a warrant issued in Kingsland/Camden County, Georgia charging him with Murder.
 
  May 02, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by the Sylvania Police Department was arrested by the U.S. Marshals New York /New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Brooklyn, New York on May 1, 2008, based on information generated by the Savannah Office of the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Tyoune Hasheen Young, 17, was being sought on warrants issued in Sylvania, Georgia charging him with Murder.
 
  May 01, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) requested the assistance of the USMS sponsored Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in the arrest of 28 year old Jimmy Mendoza of San Antonio, Texas after learning he was hiding in California.  Mendoza has a significant criminal history to include Weapons Charges. Also a confirmed member of the Mexican Mafia, Mendoza was considered to be armed and dangerous.
 
  April 30, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Task Force along with the Fort Worth Police Department arrested Devin Garrison after a brief high speed pursuit and subsequent foot chase in Fort Worth, Texas. Garrison, 18, is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Rigobero Duvon that occurred during an armed robbery on November 28, 2007 in New Orleans.
 
 

April 30, 2008 - Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Reuben Levy, 35.  During the arrest, a USMS investigator in fear for his life fired at Levy as he was being dragged through the Rite Aid parking lot by Levy’s vehicle.  Levy attempted to flee using the motor vehicle and led investigators on a short but high speed chase only to be captured less than 2 miles from the original location.  Levy was located hiding in a shed and was non-compliant at the time of his arrest.

 
  April 30, 2008 - On April 29, 2008, a West Palm Beach Florida man, Ricardo David Funes-Valle 20, was arrested in the Tampa Bay Area. After investigations by the City of West Palm Beach Police Department into the Murder of Scott E. Graham, Ricardo David Funes-Valle was identified a suspect based on crime scene evidence.
 
  April 29, 2008 - The Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, sponsored by the United States Marshals Service, is slated to hold two one day training seminars for state and local law enforcement agencies in east Texas. The first seminar will be held May 21, 2008 at the Collin County Community College in McKinney with the second to be held on May 22, 2008 at the Tyler Junior College (West Campus) in Tyler. The seminars will focus on cutting edge law enforcement techniques for tracking down and apprehending violent criminals who are on the run from the law and do not want to be caught.
 
  April 28, 2008 - The old adage “You can run, but you can’t hide” finally caught up with Susan Lefevre. Lefevre was sentenced in Saginaw County, MI on 02/27/1975 to a prison term of 10-20 years for conspiracy to violate drug laws and violation of drug laws. Lefevre served approximately one year at the Women’s Division, Detroit House of Corrections (currently the Robert Scott Correctional Facility) in Plymouth, MI. She walked away from the prison on 02/26/1976. She was charged with Escape and a warrant was issued by the State of Michigan on 02/27/1976.
 
  April 25, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department was by the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Rochester, New York on April 25, 2008, based on information generated by the Savannah Office of the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. John Cunningham, 27, was being sought on warrants issued in Glynn County, Georgia charging him with Probation Violation and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
 
  April 25, 2008 - El Paso, TX - United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas, LaFayette Collins announces the arrest of Rodolfo Medina wanted in Juarez, Mexico for a 2004 Homicide.
 
  April 25, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 21 year old Adrian Jesus Guia Jr. of Kerrville, Texas after his expulsion from the Republic of Mexico. Guia is charged by indictment in Kerrville, Texas for Sexual Assault of a Child. Guia fled the Kerrville area before he was arrested and became a fugitive living in Coahuila, Mexico to avoid prosecution in this case.
 
  April 25, 2008 - Three fugitives were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force. Ricardo Cortez Cook of Tallahassee, FL was wanted for the offense of Attempted Homicide-Willful Kill Premeditated, Aggravated Battery Causing Bodily Harm, and Violation of Probation stemming from an original offense of Marijuana Possession with Intent to Sell. Gary Burgess, a Florida registered sex offender, was wanted for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration and Failure to Notify Change of Residence within 48 hours. Anthony Antonio Blake, of Tallahassee, FL, was wanted on warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm in Public.
 
  April 24, 2008 - Swami Prakashanand Saraswati, 79, known to his followers as Shree Swamiji, was arrested at Washington Dulles International Airport by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force as he arrived aboard a flight from Europe.  Saraswati was indicted by a Hays County, Texas Grand Jury in April 2008 after a criminal investigation conducted by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office resulted in a 20 count indictment alleging Saraswati committed indecent acts with two children from 1993 thru 1996.
 
  April 24, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by Savannah Police Department for Double Homicide, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Squad in Houston, Texas based on leads sent to them by the U.S. Marshals Savannah Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. New leads generated by the Marshals Service indicated that Gonzales had fled the Savannah, Georgia and was possibly on a bus headed to Texas. The Savannah Task Force passed the information to the Marshals’ Task Forces in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio to await the arrival of possible buses to major cities in Texas.
 
  April 24, 2008 - Strike Team Officers from the Fort Worth Police Department, along with Deputy United States Marshals arrested Jay Allen and Malcolm Strickland on charges of Capital Murder. Allen and Strickland are considered suspects in the murder of Michael Myers, 59, during the robbery of the Best Western located in Fort Worth, TX. Myers was shot multiple times during the robbery which occurred at approximately on April 21, 2008.
 
  April 23, 2008 - The second of two murder suspects wanted in the death of Barry Hairston who died March 30 from wounds he sustained in a shooting incident at the Deep Blue Seafood on September 30, 2007 in Martinsville was captured by U.S. Marshals from Greensboro, NC on Tuesday. Corey Demon Turner, 30, of Martinsville was arrested without incident after marshals spotted him leaving a residence in Burlington, NC.
 
  April 23, 2008 - A sexual predator fugitive wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department for a Felony Probation Violation was arrested by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department. Stephen Alexander Bell was being sought on a Probation Violation Warrant issued in Savannah, Georgia charging him with violating his probation for the removal of the state mandated monitoring device. Bell was declared a sexual predator by the Sexual Offender Review Board on March 14, 2008.
 
  April 22, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s (SAPD) Repeat Offender Program (ROP) Officers partnered to locate and arrest Indiana fugitive Joel Barrozo.  Barrozo had five felony warrants out of St. Joseph’s County in Indiana. The charges ranged from Rape to Criminal Confinement and Robbery.
 
  April 22, 2008 - An Ascension Parish fugitive profiled on the FOX television program America’s Most Wanted and digital billboards all over the Southern United States was arrested Monday night in Holden, Louisiana. John Ryan Stephens was wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear for trial in December of 2002. Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force Investigators used tips from callers who saw AMW and the Crime Stoppers “wanted posters” to end Stephens’ almost six year run.
 
  April 21, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by Savannah Police Department for Murder was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) Trap Unit in Savannah, GA. Jarnard M. Williams, 18, was being sought on a Bench Warrant issued in Savannah, Georgia charging him with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm in Committing a Crime, and Theft By Receiving Stolen Property.
 
  April 17, 2008 - Keenan Parks, wanted on charges of Aggravated Robbery, has been arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). The SOFAST is a team of law enforcement officers lead by the U.S. Marshals Service. The suspect was arrested in Columbus, OH without incident.
 
  April 17, 2008 - The hunt for former National Century Financial Enterprises Inc. executive Rebecca Parrett continues. On March 28, 2008 a U.S. District court judge issued an arrest warrant for Parrett after she failed to report to the Pretrial Services Office near her home in Carefree, Arizona. Parrett was convicted on several counts of fraud on March 13, 2008 and was facing up to 20 years in prison on the more serious counts. Victims in the case suffered losses totaling $2 billion.
 
  April 17, 2008 - Investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force arrested Richard C. Lockett. Lockett was wanted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office for Attempted 1st Degree Murder in connection with a February 2, 2008 incident. Lockett is accused of shooting the victim during an attempted robbery outside the victim’s residence.
 
  April 16, 2008 - Austin, TX - Keith Thomas Carreker, 53 of Bokoshe, Oklahoma was arrested by the Eastern Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force, without incident this afternoon after it was determined through local investigation conducted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force that Carreker had fled from Williamson County in 1996 after he was indicted for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact.
 
  April 16, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - Investigators from the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Cordaro Burrell, 18. Burrell was the last of three suspects to be captured for the home invasion and murder of Herman Upshaw, 66 a partially disabled man Atlanta man and the aggravated assault of an 88 year old woman.
 
  April 16, 2008 - Phoenix, AZ - From April 7-11, Phoenix valley law enforcement partners collaborated on “Operation Justice”, a one week fugitive round-up in honor of “National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Operation Justice netted valley law enforcement partners 236 fugitives wanted throughout Maricopa County. In addition to arresting these fugitives, 16 weapons were taken off the streets and 1 missing juvenile was found.
 
  April 15, 2008 - Atlanta, GA – On April 15, 2008, Investigators with the U.S. Marshal Service’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) apprehended Timothy Wayne Garrison, Jr. at a residence in Hapeville, Georgia. Acting on a investigative leads developed by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) in Birmingham, Alabama, SERFTF investigators were able to track Garrison to an associate’s house on North Avenue in Hapeville. Garrison was wanted by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) for Capital Murder.
 
  April 15, 2008 - Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Sheriffs Department along with Deputy United States Marshals arrested Eric Christopher Hodges in Alvarado, Texas. Hodges is considered a suspect in the murder of Lois Jean Ivory, 53, of De Soto, who was found shot to death in her cab in west Grand Prairie around 9:00pm Sunday night, April 13, 2008.
 
  April 15, 2008 - Addition of 15 Most Wanted Fugitive - Washington, D.C. -- The heinous double murders of a young South Florida couple, whose bodies were discovered stuffed in the truck of a car, have landed alleged murder suspect, David Clarke, on the U.S. Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted Fugitive list. On June 16, 2007, Clarke and two other assailants, Clinton Dinnall and Anthony Bennett, waited for the couple, Chris Thompson and Cassandra Williams, at a home in Lauderhill, Fla., and brutally shot and killed them.
 
  April 14, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 20 year old homicide suspect Jacob Sotello in San Antonio Monday afternoon after finding him hiding in San Antonio, Texas. Jacob Sotello came to the attention of the LSFTF after the San Antonio Police Department developed him as the prime suspect in the shooting and murder of 16 year old Hector Chavarria.
 
  April 11, 2008 - Within a 24 hour period, two of Newark’s most violent and wanted fugitives are behind bars in separate states after relentless pursuit by U.S. Marshals and Newark Police Department detectives. Lauren Cheeks and Lateef Livingston, both known members of the “Bloods” street gang, were wanted for two separate, unrelated crimes respectively, both of which occurred in the city of Newark.
 
  April 11, 2008 - ATLANTA, GA - At approximately 1:30 pm today, Deputy U.S. Marshals from the Southern District of West Virginia and troopers from the West Virginia State Police arrested Fabian Lee Small, 29, at a residence in Princeton, West Virginia. Small was wanted by authorities in Habersham County, GA on the charges of home invasion and aggravated assault for his alleged participation in a home invasion robbery in which a seventy-nine year old woman was victimized.
 
  April 11, 2008 - On 4/9/08, Brandon Walker was arrested by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. Walker was wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Burglary.
 
  April 09, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - On April 8, 2008, Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) working with the Atlanta Police Department and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida located Samuel Jackson Bell. He was arrested after a brief vehicle pursuit with sheriff’s deputies in Lake City, Florida. Bell is the prime suspect in the murder of Cathy Denune. Denune, age 44, was shot and killed this past weekend at an apartment complex at 1000 Collier Road in Northeast Atlanta.
 
  April 08, 2008 - On 4/7/08, Justin and Thomas Feffe were arrested by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. Thomas Feffe was wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon in connection with a January 30, 2008 incident. Thomas is accused of shooting at two subjects at a Baton Rouge apartment complex. One of the victims was shot, but has recovered from his injuries. Justin Feffe was wanted as a principle to the above incident.
 
  April 08, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) arrested Terrance Brewer at the home of an acquaintance in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was wanted in connection with a double homicide that occurred on March 16, 2008, in Concordia, California. Brewer, 19, was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison and is waiting extradition to California.
 
  April 08, 2008 - Tony M. Howard Jr., 22 years of age, was wanted for the February 16, 2008 murder of Lorenzo Nettles at the “Touch of Class” night club in Moss Point. Since the murder, Howard has been featured in local media outlets as one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s Most Wanted and on the U.S Marshals website. This media attention led to an anonymous tip to the U.S. Marshals indicating that Howard might be in the Tampa area. Investigators in the Tampa area canvassed the streets and eventually developed an address where Howard was hiding out. As police approached the apartment, Howard leapt from a second floor window and was arrested after a brief foot chase.
 
  April 07, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested Eldrin George leaving a hotel in Duluth, Georgia. George was wanted in connection with the 2007 Christmas day shooting of multiple victims, killing two. He was also wanted for numerous armed robberies in New Orleans that occurred before the shooting. George was on active probation in Louisiana for a previous drug conviction.
 
  April 04, 2008 - Charles E. Porter was arrested by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. Porter was arrested and booked for possession with intent to distribute and the cocaine was seized as evidence pending prosecution. Porter has a long criminal history that includes five previous arrests for drug offenses.
 
  April 03, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service District of Colorado Fugitive Location Apprehension Group (FLAG), acting on information provided by the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of Louisiana Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF), arrested New Orleans Police Department murder suspect, Edward J. Augustine at the condominium of an associate in Aurora, Colorado. Augustine was wanted by the New Orleans Police Department on a first degree murder warrant.
 
  April 03, 2008 - On Wednesday, April 02, 2008, U.S. Marshals and other members of the Kansas City Career Criminal Task Force (KCCCTF) arrested Tennessee Bureau of Investigations’ Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive Winfred Scott in Kansas City, Missouri. On December 15, 2005 the State of Tennessee issued a warrant for Winfred Scott and his son Akeem Scott after both were indicted for Rape of a Child. Earlier in 2005, Winfred Scott had arranged a meeting with investigators, never showed, and promptly fled Memphis, TN with his adult son, Akeem Scott.
 
  April 02, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS), Oregon Fugitive Task Force, arrested Ronald Green, a white male, 45 years of age and former Veneta, OR resident, for Escape From Federal Custody. Green was arrested today in Florence, Oregon at a private residence on Skunkhollow Rd. At the time of his escape, Green was in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons and was serving out a
sentence for a 2002 federal bank robbery conviction in Portland, OR.
 
  April 02, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) and the Boerne Police Department captured jail escapee Esequiel Pena today in Boerne, Texas. It is believed that on Sunday, March 30, 2008, 35 year old Esequiel Pena escaped around 3:00 p.m. from the recreation yard at the GEO Group Holding Jail in downtown San Antonio.
 
  March 28, 2008 - Operation Guardian West, a multi-agency operation targeting registered sex offenders in the El Paso border-plex concluded its initial phase today with 57 state and 11 federal arrests. The U.S. Attorney, District Attorney, U.S. Marshals, El Paso Police Department and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department joined forces in January to ensure the approximate 821 registered sex offenders in the El Paso area were in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
 
  March 27, 2008 - Collaboration among U.S. law enforcement facilitated the March 18th capture of Amaro Ligorio Rodrigues at Miami International Airport. Rodrigues is wanted by French authorities for rape of a minor, rape, attempted rape, and flight to avoid prosecution. Multiple law enforcement agencies mobilized after Barbadian authorities alerted the U.S. Department of State (DOS) that the Interpol Red Notice subject had fled that country after being questioned about the French charges.
 
  March 27, 2008 - Thirteen members of a major cocaine-trafficking organization operating in the Lubbock, TX area have been arrested on charges outlined in five federal indictments that were unsealed this morning in Lubbock, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas. Additionally, law enforcement officers executed seven search warrants at various locations in Lubbock and Lynn County, resulting in the seizure of approximately two kilograms of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, firearms, U.S. currency, financial records, and vehicles.
 
  March 27, 2008 - After 14 years on the run, Bobby Alton Blanchard is now behind bars, and the Northwest Arkansas Sex Offender and Violent Crime Task Force made it happen. Blanchard, 51, was arrested on March 25, in Peel, Arkansas. He was wanted on charges of sexual battery and statutory rape in Lewis County, Tennessee. Blanchard assumed the name of Mickey Lee Sutton more than 12 years ago and alluded capture for more than 14 years until U.S. Marshals brought his run to a halt.
 
  March 27, 2008 - George A. Julien was arrested by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force (MLFTF). Julien was wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) for Aggravated Battery from an incident in July of 2006 and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Aggravated Burglary, and Illegal Use of a Weapon in connection with a December 3, 2006 incident.
 
  March 26, 2008 - Decatur, GA  - On March 26, 2008, Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested Kevin Armstead while he washed cars on Covington Highway in Decatur, Georgia. Acting on tips that were called in to America’s Most Wanted (AMW) this past Saturday night, U.S. Marshals SERFTF investigators managed to surround and arrest Armstead swiftly as he detailed a vehicle on Covington Highway. Armstead is wanted by the Baltimore City Police for First Degree Murder. He is accused of being a member of three man group who shot and killed local handy man and community figure over an altercation regarding drug sales turf.
 
  March 25, 2008 - James Wahlrab, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio announces the arrest of Kevin Boykins. Boykins was arrested today, March 25, by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) in Columbus, Ohio. On October 25, 2007, the Jackson County West Virginia Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Boykins charging him with Failure to Appear for Indictment.
 
  March 24, 2008 - David McDowell was arrested by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force (MLFTF). McDowell was wanted by the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office (EFPSO) for failure to comply with a court order. McDowell was considered a “Dead-Beat Dad” and owed in excess of $70,000.00 in back child support. The warrant was issued in May of 2007 and McDowell went on the run.
 
  March 21, 2008 - On March 20, 2008 at approximately 4:30 pm, Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Reginald Cooper at the Greyhound Bus Depot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cooper, 32 years of age, was taken into custody based upon an arrest warrant issued in Maryland charging him with Attempted Murder (Firearm).
 
  March 20, 2008 - On 03/12/2008 the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with Task Force Officers from the Temple Police Department arrested James Mendoza at a hotel in Killeen TX. Mendoza was indicted by a federal grand jury for 2 counts of Possession With Intent to Distribute (PWITD) Cocaine and Weapons charges. Mendoza is also wanted for questioning concerning death threats made against a Temple Police Department narcotics officer.
 
  March 19, 2008 - On March 18, 2008, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Martin “Big Marty” Duncan at the apartment of a relative in College Station, Texas. Duncan is charged as the main distributor in a major drug conspiracy centering in the B.W. Cooper Housing Projects in New Orleans from 1994 through 2003.
 
  March 18, 2008 - Deputy U.S. Marshals in Oklahoma captured accused child molester Bobby Kennedy, 29, at a residence in Lawton, OK. Deputy U.S. Marshals began hunting for Kennedy in March 2006, at the request of the Apache Junction Police Department.  In 2005 an arrest warrant was issued by the Pinal County Superior Court after Kennedy failed to appear for a court hearing. Kennedy, who was employed as a teacher and youth pastor at the Morning Star Academy Charter School, had been arrested by the Apache Junction Police Department after allegations were made that he molested students at the Morning Star Academy.

  March 13, 2008 - Atlanta, GA – On March 12, 2008, Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service working with the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Jamaican Fugitive Apprehension Team (JFAT) captured Jillian Andrea Hill in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Jillian Hill was wanted by the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for homicide. On April 21, 2007 after 4:00 a.m., Jillian Hill in concert with her half sister, Sheneka Baker-Sharp, is believed to have killed Ahmad Rashed Hill by shooting him in the back of the head.
 
  March 13, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by Philadelphia Police Department for Rape and Sexual Assault of a Minor Child was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Riceboro, Georgia.
 
  March 12, 2008 - Charles Mike Law was arrested today by members of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). The 55 year old was wanted by authorities for Felonious Assault. The warrant for Law stems from what U.S. Marshals Service Assistant Chief Cathy Jones called a “Drug deal gone bad.” On February 25, 2008 Law was attempting to buy illegal narcotics when he allegedly shot the narcotics dealer twice in the head at close range.

  March 11, 2008 -  Atlanta, GA – At approximately 7:15 p.m., on March 11, 2008, investigators from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Brian Shane Powers, 32. During the arrest a USMS investigator in fear for his life fired at Powers as he attempted to injure the investigator with a motor vehicle.
 
  March 10, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) SWAT team arrested Adam Torres in New Braunfels Monday afternoon.  Torres came to the attention of the LSFTF at the request of the Seguin Police Department. Torres had recently gone AWOL from the military and had accumulated criminal charges in connection with domestic violence. Torres even broke into his estranged wife’s home in violation of a protective court order in Seguin. Until today, Torres had successfully evaded authorities both in vehicles and on foot. 
 
  March 10, 2008 - PENSACOLA, FL - For the second time in three months, The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force of Pensacola arrested fugitive James Paul “P.J.” Peloquin. The Marshals Task Force originally arrested Peloquin in December of last year in the Floridatown area of Santa Rosa County on an Okaloosa County warrant for Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer and Fleeing and Eluding.
 
  March 7, 2008 - Suspected by San Diego Police Department in a 2003 brutal murder and on the run for almost 5 years, Enrique Arujo Aguirre could hide no longer. Early this morning members of the U.S. Marshals, Litchfield Police Department, and Meeker County Sheriff’s Department arrested Aguirre outside his trailer.
 
  March 6, 2008 - Early this morning members of the HEAT Fugitive Task Force consisting of state and local partners led by the U.S. Marshals captured escapee Frank Banashley Jr., in a motel in Mesa.  Officers began hunting for Banashley Jr. in early February when he escaped from a half-way house in Phoenix, where he was ordered to reside at immediately prior to his release from prison. Early this morning, Deputies developed information that Banashley Jr. was hiding at a motel in Mesa, at which time he was arrested without incident.
 
  March 6, 2008 -  Roger Alan Scherner, of Carmel, Calif., was tracked to Panama City, Florida, on information provided by the Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (PNWFAT) in Seattle.   Scherner was arrested and is currently being held at the Bay County Jail facing extradition back to Washington State.  King County, Washington prosecutors believe Scherner may have molested multiple members of his own extended family as far back as 1966. 
 
  March 5, 2008 - John Walter Wynn was arrested without incident Monday night in Conway. Wynn, 41, was the subject of a February 2006 Prince George County (Maryland) warrant for murder. Wynn is alleged to have shot his female victim multiple times before fleeing Maryland and eventually landing in Conway. He had been a fugitive for over two years.
 
  March 4, 2008 -  The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of Carnel Davis in Birmingham Alabama by the Gulf Coast Regional Task Force. Davis was wanted by the Killeen Police Department as a suspect in a murder that occurred on September 22nd of 2006 in Killeen Texas. 
 
  March 3, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service Mid-South Fugitive Task Force (MSFTF) wants to send a message to predatory fugitives – your predatory days are numbered because the MSFTF is looking for you! Since November, 2007 the MSFTF has located and apprehended 42 local predatory fugitives wanted for sex crimes. Twenty three of these predatory fugitives were wanted for violations of the Sexual Offender Registry while seven were wanted for Rape of a Child, five for Aggravated Sexual Battery, three for Sexual Battery, two for Rape, and the additional two for Aggravated Statutory Rape, and Sexual Battery by an Authority Figure. In addition, to their other charges, two of these offenders were also wanted for incest.
 
  March 3, 2008 -  The Mid-South Fugitive Task Force and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation requests the public’s help in locating father and son fugitives, Winfred and Akeem-Abou Scott. They are charged in Memphis with Rape of a Child and have been wanted since July 14, 2004 after they fled Memphis during the investigation. Both are also on the TBI Top Ten Most Wanted list.   March 3, 2008 - Niceville, FL - Early Monday morning, the U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force caught up with a fugitive they had been trying to capture since October. William Jason Adams of Edge Avenue in Niceville was arrested at about 1 a.m. when the Task Force and Patrol Deputies from the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office found him hiding in an attic of another house on Edge Avenue.
 
  March 3, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force announces the arrest of a man wanted in Sullivan County New Hampshire regarding charges involving sexual battery on a child. Brian Wesley Morey was being sought on 2 counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault by local authorities in the town of Newport in New Hampshire. 
 
  February 29, 2008 - Ricardo Jaimes of Edinburg, TX, was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident. The Task Force received information from the U.S. Marshals Service, Grand Rapids office advising that Jaimes, the remaining fugitive in a drug conspiracy, had fled from a November 2007 federal indictment handed down in the United States District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Additional information indicated Jaimes would temporarily be in the Buda area. The Task Force initiated surveillance in and around Buda after it was learned what vehicle he would possibly be in. After extensive surveillance throughout the week, Jaimes’s vehicle was observed entering the Cabela’s parking lot where he was surrounded and taken into custody.
 
  February 29, 2008 - Jorge O. Benavides of Buda, a fourth suspect identified in last weeks kidnapping and ransom of a 74-year old Williamson County man recovered in San Antonio, was arrested outside his home in the 300 block of Cody Lane, in Buda, Texas this evening at approximately 5:15pm by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Benavides was taken into custody without incident after extensive surveillance by the Task Force throughout the day culminated in Benavides’s arrest shortly after he departed his residence.
 
 
  February 28, 2008 -  John Loyd, U S Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announces that Vance Wade Moore, a registered sex offender, is in U.S. Marshal custody today following the extensive manhunt of this armed fugitive. 
 
 

February 28, 2008 - An international manhunt for a New Zealand man accused of murdering his wife and abandoning his daughter came to an end this morning in Chamblee, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

 
  February 28, 2008 - Christopher Michael Hennessy was arrested by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. Hennessy was wanted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on arrest warrants for probation violation / motion to adjudicate guilt, instant offense of sexual assault of child, possession of controlled substance, and failure to comply with sex offender registration laws.
 
  February 27, 2008 - New Orleans, LA metro area: On the morning of February 27, 2008, the U.S. Marshals Service Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) with assistance from the Kenner Police Department arrested Ricky Johnson (AKA: Ricky Thomas Miles) 42 years old at his place of business on Williams Blvd. Kenner, Louisiana. Johnson was wanted on a 1994 warrant out of Shelby County (Memphis, TN) charging him with the rape of a child. Investigators in Tennessee allege that Johnson committed the rape over a two year period with a female child between the ages of 8-10 years old.
 
  February 28, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - On February 28, 2008, investigators from the U.S. Marshals Middle District of Florida and the United States Coast Guard captured Derron Keenan Williams as he attempted to flee the country.
 
  February 28, 2008 -Memphis – U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) and Indianapolis Metro Police (IMPD) arrested Memphis murder suspect Gary “Little Bud” Bohanon, 20, who was wanted for the October 17, 2007 first degree murder of Ronald Moore in Memphis Tennessee. the U.S. Marshals’ Mid-South Fugitive Task Force located in Memphis, developed information that Bohannon was staying in the Indianapolis area and requested the assistance of U.S. Marshals’ GLRFTF and the IMPD Wednesday afternoon. Deputy U.S. Marshals and police observed Bohanon leaving the home of the Indiana Pacers’ forward and former University of Memphis Basketball player Shawne Williams around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
 
  February 28, 2008 - U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) and Indianapolis Metro Police (IMPD) arrested Memphis murder suspect Gary “Little Bud”  Bohanon, 20, who was wanted for the October 17, 2007 first degree murder of Ronald Moore in Memphis Tennessee.
 
  February 26, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Joshua Seibles.  This reward is in addition to the reward already being offered by Crimestoppers. Seibles is the subject of a Kershaw County warrant for Escape. Investigators believe that Seibles could still be in Columbia in the area of West Beltline Boulevard and Two Notch Road.   February 26, 2008 - The US Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF)and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office combined efforts and located and arrested Israel Trejo without incident.  Investigators for the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office stated that fugitive Trejo was charged with over 80 counts of Rape on his biological children.  
 
  February 25, 2008 - Weatherford- Parker County Special Crimes Unit (SCU) Investigators and U.S. Marshals arrested a Mineral Wells couple in western Parker County Thursday afternoon February 21st ending the fugitives four (4) year run from North Carolina authorities after being wanted in connection with a Child Abuse case in 2004.  According to Sheriff Larry Fowler the case reportedly stemmed from a 2000 child abuse investigation in Gastonia North Carolina where the pair apparently fled.  Gastonia Detectives involved with the case learned the possible whereabouts of the couple last week and notified the U.S. Marshals Office in Charlotte, North Carolina, who coordinated efforts with the U.S. Marshals Service Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.  Sheriff Fowler said the investigation was a text book example of collateral efforts and commended the U.S. Marshals Strike Team in Ft. Worth, Charlotte North Carolina, the Gastonia Police Department and the SCU.
 
  February 25, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) is pleased to announce that the USMS sponsored Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force caught up with two individuals suspected in the murder of Christopher Duncan. Deputy Marshals from the Brownsville, Texas Office were out looking for this couple based on leads developed Saturday in Corpus Christi after an additional suspect, Robert Patrick White was arrested.
 
  February 25, 2008 - An Ascension Parish fugitive surrendered to authorities one year to the day that he began his flight from justice. Bobby Jo Weatherton walked up to the U.S. Courthouse in Memphis, Tennessee and told a security guard that he watched himself on the FOX television show America’s Most Wanted and was tired on running. Weatherton has been the target of a major investigation led by the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office since February 24, 2007.  Weatherton was wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office for attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.
 
  February 24, 2008 - Major Case fugitive Bobby Weatherton surrendered to authorities at the US Courthouse in Memphis, Tennessee. Weatherton was wanted by the Ascension Parish (Louisiana) Sheriff’s Office for Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Rape, and Aggravated Kidnapping. Weatherton was also wanted for violations of federal probation.
 
  February 23, 2008 - Investigators from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Technical Operations Group (TOG) arrested Ronald Shearon in Jackson, Mississippi. Shearon was wanted by the Louisiana State Police for manslaughter and hit and run.
 
  February 22, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended an Escambia County man early this morning that is wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Pensacola. Task Force Officers from Okaloosa and Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Ft Walton Beach Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found Williams hiding under a bed in the home. While searching for Williams, Task Force Officers identified another wanted fugitive inside the residence, Pamela Snider Shepherd, 52, who is wanted for violating her probation in Okaloosa County.
 
  February 21, 2008 - A Crime Stoppers tip received by U.S. Marshals in South Florida led to the arrest of Papouche Edmond in Polk County. The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) received information that Edmond was in the Tampa Bay Area. Further investigations led Deputy Marshals to believe that Edmond was in Polk County Florida. Papouche Edmond, 21 was wanted in on 5 warrants. The warrants were for lewd battery on a child under 12, aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm, impregnating a minor, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence.
 
  February 21, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - On February 21, 2008, investigators from the U.S. Marshals, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Rutherford County, TN Sheriff’s Department participated in the fugitive investigation and capture of Jerry Jones, 51. Additionally, Jones’ daughter Madison Kerr, 4, was recovered. Jones was originally wanted by Hall County for a bond violation which was based on an original charge of four counts of child molestation. Jones, a school teacher, is believed to have molested several 8 and 9 year old girls. Additionally, Jones was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.
 
  February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 38 year old Hayward Murphy in San Antonio based on information developed by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force (GCVOTF) in Laredo, Texas. Hayward Murphy has been on the run since June 22, 2007 when he failed to show up for a Federal Court hearing that was scheduled in Laredo, Texas.
 
  February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 23 year old Travis Robinson of Thurston County, Washington, at a Greyhound Bus Station in San Antonio. Robinson was wanted on numerous felony warrants in Washington. Robinson was charged on February 14th, 2008 with Extortion, 3 Felony Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and 2 Felony Counts of Telephone Harassment.
 
  February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) is pleased to announce that 33 year old Bobby James Carr was arrested today by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored San Diego Fugitive Task Force in San Diego, California after being on the run since 2000.
 
  February 20, 2008 - OKALOOSA, FL -The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested four fugitives while conducting a mini round-up last night and seized narcotics consisting of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana; as well as over thousand dollars in cash.
 
  February 17, 2008 - Maryland State Police were searching for Jacob Corey Gordon, 28, who they say brutally raped a woman seven years ago. After the airing of America’s Most Wanted (AMW) on Saturday, the U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) received notification from AMW that Gordon was in the Tampa Bay Area.  On February 17, 2008, Gordon was located and arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Tampa Police.
 
  February 15, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended a man today who had been running form the law for 11 years. Ronald Gates is wanted in Escambia County on a Violation of Probation warrant, dated April of 1996. The Task Force came across Gates while searching for another fugitive, Marshall Miles Jones, at a mobile home park on the 1500 block of 50th Avenue in Pensacola. Gates, 50, was originally charged with the probation violation in 1996 when he was accused of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Mischief. Earlier in the day, the Task Force arrested John Wesley Washington, 42, who violated his parole. Washington is a convicted Sexual Predator.
 
  February 15, 2008 - “This is another example of outstanding investigative work”, said U.S. Marshal Seroyer. “This fugitive escaped approximately seven years ago, fled to another Country, changed his identity and returned to the United States. Our investigators never quit working on him and they finally got a break several weeks ago. After determining Vargas’s new identity we located him in a small town in North Carolina. We forwarded that information to the Marshals in Charlotte. They were able to take him into custody safely. He seemed very surprised when the Marshals approached him and called him by his real name,” added U.S. Marshal Seroyer.
 
  February 15, 2008 - Frederick, MD. - A man who has been charged with Rape of a child less than13 years of age in Greene County, Virginia was captured this morning at an Econo Lodge Hotel in Frederick, Maryland. Working on a lead provided by the U.S. Marshal’s Service from the Western District of Virginia, members of the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Greenbelt Division responded to the hotel early this morning to find Andre Alexander Williams held up in the hotel with a female companion. Williams was taken into custody without incident.
 
  February 14, 2008 - DECATUR, GA - At approximately 7:00 PM last night, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and officers from the DeKalb County Police Department arrested Darryl Anthony Green, 20, at an apartment in Decatur, GA. Green was wanted by the Glynn County Police Department in Brunswick, GA for one count each of aggravated assault by shooting, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, criminal damage to property, criminal attempt to commit rape, and false imprisonment. He was also wanted by the United States Air Force for desertion after he absconded from active duty while serving in an enlisted capacity at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.
 
  February 08, 2008 - U.S. Marshals from Houston, TX arrested Jeremy Lynn Branum just north of Houston, at a mobile home park in Magnolia. Branum was wanted for Sexually Assaulting a young girl in Odessa in January, 2007.
 
  February 08, 2008 - U.S. Marshals and members of the Topeka, Kansas Police Department arrested Geechie Devaine Templeton at an apartment complex in Topeka, Kansas. Templeton was wanted for the November 9th, 2007 murder of Gabriel Hernandez in Odessa.
 
  February 08, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 51 year old Ruben Vela in San Antonio late Thursday night. Ruben Vela was captured by LSFTF members and San Antonio Police Department Officers to include Repeat Offenders Program (ROP) Detectives and Patrol Officers. Vela was the target of an investigation by the Waco Police Department. Investigators developed an address for Vela in San Antonio and utilized their reach through the Waco Division of the LSFTF to capture Vela. Vela is charged with 7 separate warrants of Indecency with a Child.
 
  February 07, 2008 - Beaverton, Oregon - Wilfredo DeJesus Santos was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force. Santos was wanted on a February 1, 2008 Yakama County warrant for first degree rape and or molestation of a child.  Upon request, the U.S. Marshals adopted the case and within hours found Santos hiding under a pile of clothes in a bedroom closet at a family member’s townhouse.
 
  February 07, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service Blue Ridge Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (BRFAST) task force and Lynchburg Police Department Officers acting on a lead from Georgia, rescued a 5 year old girl who had been abducted in Georgia over four years ago. Georgia investigators allege that the girl was abducted by her maternal grandparents when she was one year old and authorities have been looking for her ever since.
 
  February 06, 2008 - The reputed head of a North Charlotte drug distribution organization was apprehended early this morning in New York. Twenty-nine year old Roscoe Abell was indicted in early 2007 in connection with an organized gang distributing drugs in the Hidden Valley area of Charlotte. He was also wanted on outstanding federal warrants for violating supervised release stemming from a previous conviction.
 
  February 06, 2008 - An Arkansas man, wanted for the 2005 sexual assault of a physically helpless person, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Phoenix High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force at an apartment in Phoenix.  Marlin Cash, 26, was wanted on a felony warrant by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in Little Rock, Arkansas for Sexual Assault.
 
  February 05, 2008 - On 02/01/08, investigators from the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force (SDRFTF) arrested Raymond Young. Young was wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for his role in the armed robbery of a pharmacy.  Also on 02/01/08, Denako “Mutt” Duheart surrendered with his attorney at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Duheart was wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for 1st Degree Murder, conspiracy to commit 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Kidnapping.
 
  February 05, 2008 - Frederick Middlebrooks Jr. was arrested in Cincinnati by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). SOFAST is a team of law enforcement officers led by the United States Marshals Service. Middlebrooks was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio, without incident. An arrest warrant for Middlebrooks was issued in Columbus, Ohio on February 3, 2008 for rape of a child under 13.
 
  February 05, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the San Antonio Police Department's (SAPD’s) Repeat Offenders Project (ROP) and Gang Unit arrested Elijah Mackey on Federal and State Warrants. Elijah Mackey, 29, is no stranger to law enforcement. Mackey has a criminal history that includes numerous arrests for assaults as well as drug arrests.
 
  February 05, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by Savannah Police Department for Armed Robbery was arrested by members of Atlanta U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Jonesboro, GA.  Terrell Mack, 19, was being sought on two warrants issued in Savannah, Georgia charging him with two Armed Robberies that occurred on January 13, 2008.
 
  February 05, 2008 - A fugitive wanted by Savannah Police Department for Aggravated Assault was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Glennville Police Department in Glennville, GA. Thomas Brown, 20, was being sought on two warrants issued in Savannah, Georgia charging him with two Aggravated Assaults that occurred on December 20, 2007.
 
  February 04, 2008 - Darryl Gordon, 46, of Crawford County, Arkansas was taken into custody by agents with the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) along with U.S. Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) at the Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia.  Gordon was being sought by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service River Valley Fugitive Task Force in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for 10 counts of Sexual Assault 2nd Degree.
 
  January 30, 2008 - James Nelson Petty II, a 33 year-old white male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force, at the Silver Spur RV Park located in Silverton, Oregon. Incident to arrest, two minor children who had been listed as “Endangered Missing” on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) website, were taken safely into protective custody.
 
  January 29, 2008 - When Homicide Suspect and Mexican Mafia Gang Member David Sauceda escaped from the Bexar County Jail on October 28, 2007, he quickly linked up with his girlfriend Angela Jaime and her two young boys ages 3 and 4.  On January 26, 2008, David Sauceda was arrested near his residence in Mexico but Angela Jaime was not present.  On January 29, 2008, Angela Jaime was arrested by United States Marshals Service personnel from the Laredo Office at the Port of Entry in Laredo. Jaime will be brought back to Bexar County today to answer her charges.
 
  January 29, 2008 - The United States Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico is pleased to announce that the United States Marshals led Puerto Rico Fugitive Task Force (PRFTF) has arrested another member of their “Top Ten Most Wanted” list, Fernando Santiago-Rios. Santiago-Rios was wanted by the Puerto Rico Police Department since June of 2006 as a member of a multi-kilogram cocaine conspiracy and on four weapons charges.
 
  January 27, 2008 - January has been a very successful month for the U.S. Marshals and a nightmare come true for two fugitives on the run. In a mere 11 days, the U.S. Marshals captured two of their “15 Most Wanted” fugitives. While this is an amazing feat in and of itself, what makes it even more impressive is they traveled over international borders into Mexico to get the wanted criminals. 
 
  Sauceda - CapturedJanuary 27, 2008 - Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Marshals coordinated the apprehension and capture of a “15 Most Wanted” fugitive Saturday in Mexico. David Sauceda, a jail escapee facing murder charges, was detained by Mexican authorities when a joint, international law enforcement effort found him in Tangacicuaro, Michocan, Mexico.
 
  January 25, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested former Pearl Mississippi Correctional Officer Jennifer Readus in San Antonio. In 2006, Jennifer Readus was a Correctional Officer employed at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, Mississippi. On November 9, 2006, a warrant was issued for her arrest after Readus failed to appear in Rankin County Circuit Court to answer an indictment charging Readus with Sexual Activity between a Law Enforcement Officer and a Prisoner.
 
  January 25, 2008 - San Antonio, TX -  The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers announce the arrest of homicide suspect, Juan Manual Garcia.
 
  January 25, 2008 - On 1/22/08, investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force arrested Antoine Sims. Sims was wanted by the Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Police Department for attempted 1st Degree Murder, aggravated kidnapping, false imprisonment, aggravated battery, and theft.  Also on 1/22/08, investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force arrested Shawn Hammond. Hammond was wanted by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPSO) for 2nd Degree Murder.
 
  January 24, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service Western District of Louisiana Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST) with assistance from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Charles City Police Department arrested New Orleans Police Department murder suspect, Dominick Allen, 23 years old, in Sulphur, Louisiana based on a collateral lead sent by the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of Louisiana Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF).
 
  January 20, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force announces the arrest of a man wanted in Escambia County regarding charges involving sexual battery and child abuse. Jowhar Jasiri Franklin was being sought for Sexual Battery by a Custodian on a Child Under 12 Years Old, Child Abuse Causing Great Bodily Harm and Failure to Appear for Child Abuse charges.
 
  January 19, 2008 - Terry Lowry, 59, was taken into custody this morning in Allendale County. Lowry, a native of Norman Park (GA), is alleged to have escaped from the Federal Correctional Institution in Estill on Tuesday, January 15. Deputies believe that he had been living in the woods since he was discovered missing from Estill earlier this week. Lowry was serving a 54 month federal sentence on cocaine charges that originated in the Southern District of Georgia.
 
  January 18, 2008 - The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Squad and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force nabbed a third and  fourth suspect Friday in the slayings of two DeKalb County police officers.  William Maurice Woodard and Mario O'Brian Westbrook who have been charged in the murders of Officers Ricky Bryant, Jr. and Eric Barker, were arrested on Friday, January 18, 2007. .
 
 

January 18, 2008 - The Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force arrested Stephen Hershel Neff (36) this afternoon in Des Moines’s south side.   Neff was being sought on an arrest warrant issued in Warren County in reference to a vehicle theft there.  Neff is the fourth Metro’s Most Wanted fugitive arrested by the Task Force in ten days.

 
  January 17, 2008 - Indianapolis, IN - District U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) personnel, USMS task force personnel, and Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU) personnel assisted the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in arresting Zarumin Coleman, age 21. Coleman was arrested on outstanding warrants charging him with Escape, Robbery, and Criminal Confinement. More importantly, Coleman is also a significant “person of interest” in a quadruple homicide which occurred this past Monday.
 
  January 16, 2008 - Deputy U.S. Marshals and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents captured Heriberto Castro-Arellano, 34, in Phoenix, AZ. Heriberto Castro-Arellano, a Mexican national and member of an organized kidnapping ring, was wanted in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico for kidnapping and murder. According to Mexican authorities Castro-Arellano was wanted in connection with a kidnapping for ransom that occurred in March 2000, which resulted in the strangulation death of the cousin of Castro-Arellano.
 
  January 15, 2008 - 15 Most Wanted Arrest - Touted as one of the best places to do business in Central America, Queretaro, Mexico, proved to be just the opposite for longtime drug kingpin Craig “Little Dude” Petties. Petties’ “business” in the international drug trade ended there with his arrest by Mexican authorities this past weekend. The arrest was announced today by David Kustoff, United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee, Andrew Dimond, Resident Agent in Charge of the DEA’s Memphis Resident Office, and David G. Jolley, United States Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee.
 
  January 14, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force arrested Kenneth Henderson Miller, 49 years old, at approximately 8:00am on January 14, 2008. Miller was wanted for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Breaking and Entering, and Robbery. The charges all stemmed from a September 21, 2007 home invasion robbery that Miller allegedly committed in Newport News, Virginia.
 
  January 11, 2008 - Okaloosa County, FL - The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force captured a North Carolina man suspected of robbing another man and then pistol whipping him 2 months ago in Wilmington, North Carolina. A warrant from Wilmington charges Marcus Antone Williams aka “Smoke” with Armed Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with Serious Bodily Injury and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  Williams has two prior convictions for robbery with a firearm and is currently on state parole in North Carolina.
 
  January 11, 2008 - San Antonio, TX – Today the United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Louisiana fugitive Albert Holmes (age 27) after making entry into a Seguin motel room at 5:45 a.m. Holmes is wanted in Ouachita Parrish, Louisiana, for Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Theft.
 
  January 11, 2008 - On January 10th the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, Sherman, TX received word from the Alaska Fugitive Task Force that Christopher Lloyd Vineyard had been apprehended. Vineyard was apprehended at his place of employment in the Alyeska Resort of Girdwood, Alaska without incident. Vineyard has been wanted by the State of Texas for parole warrants based on Burglary of a Habitation and Aggravated Robbery. Vineyard and an accomplice had robbed the victim using a 9mm pistol. Vineyard faces the additional charges on Harris County Texas indictment of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14.
 
  January 10, 2008 - Forty-one year old JD Todd of Ben Wheeler, TX was arrested today in Tyler, TX. Todd was wanted by Van Zandt County authorities for Criminal Attempt/Indecency with a Child (3rd Degree Felony) and Improper Photo/Visual Recording of a Child (State Jail Felony). Mr. Todd was booked into the Smith County Jail at 12:00 p.m. today.
 
  January 10, 2008 - LaGrange, GA - Members of the U.S. Marshals led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and officers from the LaGrange Police Department arrested Gary Doniel King, 19, in LaGrange. King was wanted by authorities in the Dutch colony of the Netherlands Antilles (NA), where he holds dual citizenship, as a member of a group that committed at least twenty five armed robberies on the island of St. Maarten from August, 2007 through November, 2007.
 
  January 10, 2008 - Dallas, TX - At a ceremony this afternoon at Dallas Police Department Headquarters, U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions, of the 32nd District of Texas, along with U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper and U.S. Marshal Randy Ely, both of the Northern District of Texas, presented a check representing $225,000 to Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle to continue funding the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program.
