Director United States Marshals Service Before the United States House
of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce,
Justice, Science, and Related Agencies - "Chairman Mollohan, Ranking
Member Frelinghuysen, and Members of the Subcommittee, I appreciate the
opportunity to discuss the President’s Fiscal Year 2009 budget request
for the United States Marshals Service (USMS). As you know, the missions
of the Service are diverse, the challenges we face significant, and our
accomplishments many. I look forward to discussing how we, together, can
address the critical issues facing our organization and provide the
resources necessary to meet its growing demands, in the competent and
professional manner the public expects."
April 19, 2007 - Madam Chairman, Senator Shelby, and Members of the Subcommittee, I appreciate the opportunity to appear before you today to discuss the President’s Fiscal Year 2008 budget request for the United States Marshals Service (USMS). As a career Deputy U.S. Marshal, and the former United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Virginia, it is a very great honor to represent the Marshals Service as its Director. February 14, 2007 - The following testimony was submitted by United States Marshals Service Director John F. Clark before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. The written testimony was submitted for a hearing on judicial security and independence.
