RENO AND BROWNER TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT ON RECRUITMENT OF


HOMELESS TO DO DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL ASBESTOS REMOVAL








	WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Attorney General Reno and EPA
Administrator Carol Browner will announce on Friday, April 24, in
Conference Room B of the Main Justice Department Building at
10:00am, an environmental criminal case involving the recruitment
of homeless people to perform illegal and dangerous asbestos
removal.  Reno and Browner, along with Mary Ann Gleason, Executive
Director of the National Coalition for the Homeless, also will
discuss efforts to prevent this dangerous and illegal practice in
the future.
