STATEMENT OF ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL RALPH F. BOYD
ON THE APPOINTMENT OF SAUL A. GREEN AS INDEPENDENT MONITOR FOR CINCINNATTI MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Assistant Attorney General Ralph F. Boyd issued the following statement on the appointment of Saul A. Green as independent monitor of the Justice Department's memorandum of agreement with the city of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD):

"We are pleased that the parties have agreed to the selection of Saul A. Green as the court's independent monitor in these matters. We look forward to working with Mr. Green to ensure that the police reforms outlined in the memorandum of agreement are implemented."
