ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ROBERT D. MCCALLUM, JR. ANNOUNCES
APPOINTMENT OF FOUR NEW DEPUTY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Associate Attorney General Robert D. McCallum, Jr. announced today the appointment of four new Deputy Associate Attorneys General in the Office of the Associate Attorney General (OASG).

In announcing the new appointments to his office, Associate Attorney General Robert D. McCallum, Jr. said, “Our new Deputy Associate Attorneys General bring first-rate legal ability and considerable practical experience to the Associate Attorney General’s Office, and we are thrilled to have them aboard.”

The new Deputy Associate Attorneys General are:

Tracey A. Henke - Ms. Henke joins the OASG from the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), where she was previously the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General. Prior to joining the Department, Ms. Henke served as Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Christopher Bond of Missouri. She also worked for Senator John C. Danforth after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In her new post, Ms. Henke will oversee the Office of Justice Programs and handle issues such as violence against women and budget matters.

Elizabeth A. Kessler - Ms. Kessler joins the OASG from the Department of Energy, where she served as Deputy General Counsel for Environment and Nuclear Programs. Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Ms. Kessler was employed with the Department of State, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi, India, as a Foreign Service Officer. Before her service overseas, she was employed with the Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration, and Counsel to Senator Orrin Hatch. From 1993 to 1995, Ms. Kessler worked in the Civil Division, Appellate Section, and was a Bristow Fellow with the Office of the Solicitor General. Ms. Kessler graduated from Yale Law School and clerked for Judge Richard J. Cardamone, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In her new post, Ms. Kessler will oversee environmental and antitrust related matters.

Gerald A. Reynolds - Mr. Reynolds joins the OASG from the Department of Education where he served as Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights. Prior to joining the Department of Education, Mr. Reynolds served as Senior Regulatory Counsel with the Kansas City Power and Light Company. Additionally, Mr. Reynolds has served as the President and Legal Counsel for the Center for New Black Leadership in Washington, D.C. Mr. Reynolds graduated from Boston University School of Law and joined the law firm of Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin, in Stamford, Connecticut after graduation. In his new post, Mr. Reynolds will oversee civil consumer and immigration litigation as well as terrorism-related litigation.

J. Michael Wiggins - Mr. Wiggins joins the OASG from the Department’s Civil Rights Division, where he was previously the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General. Prior to joining the Department, Mr. Wiggins practiced law with Kilpatrick Stockton LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Wiggins graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and clerked for the Honorable J. L. Edmondson, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In his new post, Mr. Wiggins will oversee civil rights and criminal matters.
