WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Department’s Antitrust Division and the Antitrust Committee of the D.C. Bar Antitrust, Trade Regulation, and Consumer Affairs Section will hold its 6th Annual Lewis Bernstein Memorial Lecture on Monday, October 27, 2003, at 4:00 p.m., in the Great Hall of Main Justice.

R. Hewitt Pate, Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division, will make introductory remarks and Mario Monti, Commissioner of Competition of the European Commission, will discuss “Intervening Against Government Restraints on Competition: Reflections from the EU Experience.”
