History Month Program

 

On February 13, 2019, Chief Judge Shelly D. Dick, Judge Brian A. Jackson, and Judge John W. deGravelles, of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Judge Douglas D. Dodd, of the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the agencies of the federal courthouse hosted the District’s Twenty-Fourth Annual Federal Courthouse African-American History Month Program at the Russell B. Long Federal Courthouse. 

The featured guest speaker was the Honorable Sharon Weston Broome, Mayor-President of the City of Baton Rouge.  Mayor Broome shared her interesting story of public service, including the challenges and successes that often accompany such achievements.

Musical entertainment was provided by Ms. Nina Gray, a local soloist.
