LEWIS ARNOLD SENTENCED
VALDOSTA: United States Attorney Maxwell Wood, Middle District of Georgia, announces the sentencing of LEWIS ARNOLD, age 33, a resident of Valdosta, Georgia, on July 26, 2007 before the Honorable Hugh Lawson, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Georgia.
On March 19, 2007, ARNOLD entered a plea of guilty to Count Two of a superseding indictment charging him with distribution of cocaine. ARNOLD was sentenced to 210 months in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons and ordered to serve a term of supervised release.
ARNOLD was arrested in Valdosta on January 30, 2006 by members of the South Georgia Gang Task Force. Gang Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and Valdosta Police Department, along with the FBI participated in the investigation and the arrest of Arnold charging him with federal felon weapons and narcotic charges. The South Georgia Gang Task Force consists of investigators from Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Valdosta Police Department, Valdosta FBI offices and local law enforcement from the Southern Judicial Circuit. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Verda Colvin.
