BOISE COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR INTERFERING WITH FOREST OFFICERS

A Boise County man was sentenced Monday to one year of probation and a $250 fine for interfering with Forest Service officers by blocking a road and refusing to move.

Robert Farber, 68, of Lowman, had pled guilty earlier to one count of interfering with a forest officer; a second count was dismissed.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of May 28, 2007, while two Forest Service Law Enforcement Officers were assisting Boise County Sheriff's Deputies. Farber blocked the Archie Creek Road with his car and kept the Forest Service Officers from leaving. He refused to move his vehicle until Boise County Deputies ordered him to.
