KANSAS CITY MAN GETS 15 YEARS ON FEDERAL DRUG CHARGE
KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Tristan Luster, Kansas City, Kan., was sentenced Monday to 15 years in federal prison for his part in a drug conspiracy that distributed hundreds of pounds of cocaine in Kansas City, Kan.
Luster pleaded guilty to one count of distributing cocaine. In his plea, he admitted he was part of a network of people who obtained cocaine from co-defendant Savino Davila, cooked it into crack cocaine and sold it on the streets. Davila’s drug ring distributed more than 330 pounds of cocaine from 2000 to 2006, according to Drug Enforcement Administration investigators.
In his plea, Luster admitted that on March 11, 2005, he sold 63.45 grams of cocaine to an undercover informant. The transaction took place in the parking lot of a gas station at 7th and Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
Savino Davila is set for sentencing July 7, 2008. Other co-defendants include:
– Elverto Davila, who is set for sentencing May 27, 2008.
– Toni Baker, who is set for sentencing July 7, 2008.
– Jontell Jones, who is set for sentencing June 9, 2008.
– Frederick Eskridge, who is awaiting sentencing.
– Damascus Houston, who was sentenced to 120 months.
– Antonio Bennett, who is awaiting sentencing.
– Terry Vaughn, who was sentenced to 37 months.
– Robert Cole, Jr., who is set for sentencing May 27, 2008.
– Frank Henderson, who is set for sentencing June 9.
– Marcus Vaughn, who is sentenced to 120 months.
– Andre Riggans, who is sentenced to 63 months.
– Tina Johnson, who was sentenced to 84 months.
U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren commended the Drug Enforcement Administration, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kim Martin and Assistant U.S. Attorney David Zabel for their work on the case.
