London, Ky. —Robert E. Cole, 67, of Lily, Ky. was sentenced today to ten years in prison and five years of supervised release for federal probation violations involving methamphetamine by United States District Judge Danny C. Reeves.
On March 6, 2008, the court found that Cole failed to report to the U.S. Probation Office as directed and committed another felony by possessing methamphetamine and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.
In September of 2003, Cole had been convicted in US District Court in South Carolina for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced to home incarceration and probation.
James A. Zerhusen, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Rozel L. Hollingsworth, Chief US Probation Officer, jointly made the announcement today after the sentencing. The United States was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Jason Denney.
