HUSBAND AND WIFE PLEAD GUILTY TO BANK ROBBERY
BOWLING GREEN, KY - Bryon Ray Gibbs, a/k/a Bud Gibbs, age 22, and Candice Vickers Gibbs, age 27, both of Lebanon, Tennessee, in Wilson County, pled guilty to charges of bank robbery, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The defendants admitted that on September 21, 2007, Bryon Ray Gibbs, with the assistance of Candice Gibbs, his wife, and Willett, his brother, stole $11,933.25 from the US Bank branch located at 3240 Louisville Road, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The maximum potential penalties are 20 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of 3 years.
Co-defendant Jeffrey Alan Willett is currently awaiting trial which is scheduled to begin on September 25, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys David Weiser and Robert B. Bonar, and it was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The plea was entered before Joseph H. McKinley, Judge, United States District Court, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Gibbs and Gibbs are scheduled to be sentenced before Judge McKinley on November 10, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
