Fighting Terrorism

While life in this wonderful country of ours has changed significantly since September 11, 2001, we are still "the land of the free and the home of thebrave." To ensure that we stay that way, all of us have to help.

For our part, this Office along with the other 92 U.S. Attorney's Offices around the country, has formed an Anti-Terrorism task force. The purpose of the task force is to integrate the communications and activities of local, state and federal law enforcement to more effectively combat terrorism.

You can help as well. First, you can become more educated about the real threat terrrorist organizations pose to you and this nation. And you can personally help to combat terrorism by learning how to spot suspicious activity and where to report your observations. As the President said just prior to the aniversary of 9/11, "We must also remember a central lesson of the tragedy: our homeland is vulnerable to attack, and we must do everything in our power to protect it..."
