For Immediate Release DONIPHAN MAN SENTENCED TO 100 MONTHS ON FEDERAL FIREARMS CHARGES A Doniphan, Missouri man was sentenced today on federal gun charges, announced United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway. TOMMY D. BOSHEARS was sentenced to 100 months on one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm and one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of ammunition. He appeared before United States District Judge Charles A. Shaw. On March 1, 2007, Boshears was in possession of firearms and ammunition. Due to Boshears prior felony convictions, he is prohibited from possessing firearms and/or ammunition. Hanaway praised the Ripley County Sheriff's Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for their work in the investigation. Larry H. Ferrell handled the prosecution for the Government. |
