TWO PEOPLE CONVICTED OF FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES INVOLVING THE MANUFACTURE OF METHAMPHETAMINE IN LINCOLN COUNTY

St. Louis, MO: Ralph Knox and Gina Morrison have been convicted of charges of possession of pseudoephedrine, with the intention of manufacturing methamphetamine, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway and Lincoln County Sheriff Lincoln County Sheriff Kent Hanshew announced today.

“Testimony during the trial of Morrison, and the plea of Knox, detailed that these defendants were in possession of pseudoephedrine to make methamphetamine last September in Lincoln County,” said Hanaway. “This office will continue to assist Sheriff Hanshew by prosecuting those who manufacture this dangerous drug.”

“I would like to thank the U.S. Attorney’s Office for their continued support in prosecuting manufacturers of methamphetamine within Lincoln County. Removing illegal substances from the community remains one of this Department's highest priorities,” said Sheriff Hanshew.

RALPH KNOX, Troy, Missouri, pled guilty Thursday, May 8. GINA MORRISON of Warren County, Missouri, was convicted earlier this month of one felony count of possession of pseudoephedrine knowing that it would be used to manufacture a controlled substance.

Each defendant now faces a maximum penalty of twenty years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. Sentencings have been set for July 24 for Knox and June 27 for Morrison.

In addition to Sheriff Hanshew, Hanaway commended the work performed on the case by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force.
