CHARLES LLOYD WILLIAMS FOUND GUILTY IN U.S. FEDERAL COURT
Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on February 22, 2008, in Great Falls, after a 2-day federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon, CHARLES LLOYD WILLIAMS, a 27-year-old resident of Sidney, was found guilty of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Sentencing is set for June 23, 2008. WILLIAMS is currently detained.
WILLIAMS faces possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 5 years in prison and could be sentenced to 40 years, a $2,000,000 fine and 4 years supervised release.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard A. Hosley prosecuted the case for the United States.
The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Big Muddy River Drug Task Force.
