ERIC FEVOLD FOUND GUILTY IN U.S. FEDERAL COURT


Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on July 14, 2008, in Missoula, after a 1-day federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Donald W. Molloy, ERIC FEVOLD, a 48-year-old resident of Missoula, was found guilty of receipt and possession of child pornography. Sentencing is set for November 19, 2008. FEVOLD is currently released on special conditions.

FEVOLD faces possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 5 years in prison and could be sentenced to 20 years, a $250,000 fine and lifetime supervision.

Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuted the case for the United States.

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
