U.S. Attorney, Thomas P. Colantuono

     Thomas P. Colantuono is the United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire, having been nominated by President George W. Bush in December, 2001.

     Born in Newton, Massachusetts, he received a B. A. from Duke University in 1973 and a J. D. from Boston College Law School in 1976.

     Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Colantuono practiced as an Associate with the law firm of Hamblett & Kerrigan from 1976 until 1978. From 1978 until 1981 he served as Assistant Attorney General at the New Hampshire Attorney General's office. From 1981 until December 2001, when he was nominated by President Bush for the position of United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire, he was engaged in private practice at his law office in Derry, New Hampshire. Mr. Colantuono also served as the Executive Councilor for District 4 in New Hampshire from 1999 to 2001, and as a State Senator from 1990 until 1996.
