MASSACHUSETTS MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO COCAINE DISTRIBUTION
CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- William Twining, of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, was sentenced by the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to a sentence of time served (143 days) as a result of his pleading guilty to distributing a total of .99 grams of cocaine in June 2006. Twining was also sentenced to three years of supervised release. During the period of supervised release, Twining’s behavior will be monitored by the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office.
In the Summer of 2006, the Nashua Police Department was investigating the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in the city. The investigation determined that Twining and others were selling powder cocaine. Twining was arrested on state charges in September 2006 and those state charges were later dismissed in favor of a federal prosecution.
