CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE: United States Attorney Tom Colantuono and Nashua Police Chief Donald Conley announced that Manuel Tejeda (also known as Antonio Rios), of Lawrence, Massachusetts was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in connection with the distribution of crack cocaine to an undercover police officer during June and July, 2007.

Tejeda previously admitted guilt to charges of distribution of crack cocaine in excess of five grams and conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

United States Attorney Colantuono stated, “Crimes such as drug trafficking significantly impact communities and place huge costs on society. One of the highest priorities of the United States Attorney’s Office is to continue to seek ways to prevent and reduce crime through the aggressive prosecution of these cases. This case is just one example of our continued dedication to that mission.”

The successful prosecution of this case resulted from the efforts of the Nashua Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert J. Veiga.
