Office Mission Statement

The Attorney General of the United States delegates responsibility for the conduct of all litigation affecting the interests of the United States to the various offices of the United States Attorney. The United States Attorney and his Assistants appear in federal and state courts as the legal representative of the United States in the prosecution and defense of all criminal and civil actions, suits, or proceedings in which the United States, its agencies, or officials are parties.
