Portland, Ore. – Leon Tenorio, 38, a resident of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Warm Springs, Oregon, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Garr M. King on May 21, 2007, to three concurrent 36-month terms of imprisonment for the abusive sexual contact of three women. The abuse occurred between January 2001 and March 2004 on the Warm Springs Reservation. Tenorio admitted that he had engaged in sexual contact with each of the three women by touching their genitalia while they were intoxicated and unconscious. Defendant also took photographs of the women in their state of intoxication during the sexual contact. The photographs were located during a search of the defendant’s residence. The victims were later identified during the investigation. As part of Tenorio’s sentence, he must register with the state as a sex offender, participate in a sex offender assessment and treatment program, and complete one year of supervised release.
The case was jointly investigated by the Warm Springs Police Department and the Bend Resident Agency of the FBI. The prosecution of the case was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Billy J. Williams.
