Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (LECC)
Eastern District of Tennessee (TNE)
MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the LECC is to develop communication and cooperation among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies throughout the Eastern District of Tennessee (TNE) by furnishing opportunities for training, education, and assistance to the law enforcement agencies in the district.
The LECC Coordinator is involved in several task forces in TNE which include representation from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The U.S. Attorney's Office and LECC develop the annual LECC training and education program from information received at these task force meetings and from the Intelligence Analysis Briefings held throughout TNE every two years.
In addition to other training events developed from the above sources, the LECC cosponsors two annual training events with other U.S. Attorneys' Offices/LECC's:
Annual Gatlinburg Law Enforcement Conference
Annual Tennessee Victim Assistance Conference: Three Days for Victims
