Prior to the indictment, Jose Jasso-Cuevas had been charged by criminal complaint with alien smuggling in violation of Title 8, Section 1324(a)(1)(A)(ii). According to the complaint, Jose Jasso-Cuevas was apprehended on May 5, 2008 in Dickson County, Tennessee.
